Anyone doing anything nice on valentines day? I never do anything as i think its a con and marketing ploy. I probablsound like an old grump for thinking that it is like that.

Well we were going to be going out to The Nith for a valentines dinner last night for the first time, but when hubby phoned up to book a table they were fully booked all weekend. So he took me to KFC instead!

Thats a shame. I know thas get booked up weeks and months in advance for valentines day. My mates birthday is on monday and she can never go out for a meal on her birthday because of that. KFC rules.

KFC???!!! How romantic!!
I'm still waiting for my birthday flowers (end Jan) and have very little expectation of any Valentine's gifts. Sigh. Husband says its all a marketing ploy too. Ah well! Looking after black lab again so I'm sure I'll get a romantic snuffle from her (i.e. its 6.30am, pouring with rain and she puts her nose under the bed covers to say to me 'don't you think its time we went a walk then?!')
